World Day of Prayer 2020: From Fear to Faith

Join together with Unity Lincoln to participate in Unity World Day of Prayer during the 24-hour Prayer Vigil and Meditation.  The vigil at Unity Village begins Wednesday, September 9th, at 7:00 p.m. (CT) and closes at 8:00 pm Thursday.  Today send your name and prayer requests to Silent Unity via mail or email.  At Unity Lincoln we will also submit names and requests that you share with us and send them to Silent Unity to be held in silent prayer for 30 days and during the vigil in the Prayer Chapel.

“Standing in Truth, I move from Fear to Faith.”

Thursday, September 10th, 2020 is World Day of Prayer.  It is celebrated throughout the Unity Movement and beyond as a day of prayer and commemoration.  This year, as with everything else, it will be a virtual celebration.

Ways that you can participate in the Days activities include

submitting a prayer request; and

lighting a virtual candle.

Go online to light as many virtual candles as you’d like throughout the time period.

Look at the map to see how many candles have been lit in Lincoln and elsewhere.  You can join online for the events at Unity Village throughout the day and evening.  Follow our hashtag #WDOP20 and join us at the Unity Facebook page to connect with our reflection questions and watch live events.  Observe the day as a sacred day of prayer wherever you are.

You are always welcome to attend the event at Unity Village; however, please wear a mask and observe social distance.  The grounds are always peaceful, prayerful and beautiful for World Day of Prayer.  You will find an agenda for events on the web page so you don’t miss anything.  Talk to Rev. Toni if you have any questions.
