Saturday, October 12th, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm is our annual Pet Blessing. You are welcome to bring your pets on a leash or secured for their safety for a blessing in person or you may bring a photo. All pets will receive a certificate of blessing for health and long life. From 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm those who have lost pets will join in a Circle of Love to share memories and honor those pets who have passed.
Our pets are our special family members and divine treasures, expanding our life experiences. At this time of coinciding with St. Francis Day, we honor them, bless them, and express our gratitude for them in our lives.
Experience abundance on a whole new level. This course offers a proven path to increasing prosperity in your life and will open you to experience greater abundance in ALL areas: relationships, career/business, health and spirituality.
You will learn:
- Techniques to dissolving blocks that are sabotaging your success
- The art and science of true transformation
- How giving of your time, talent and treasure unleashes the flow of your highest good and abundance
- The meaning of full spectrum wealth in every area of your life

This is a great way to build community! When we work this prosperity program together we’ll experience our prosperity consciousness expanding individually and as a community!
Join us beginning Sunday, September 22nd at 9:00am for the book study, and Wednesday evenings starting September 25th at 6:30pm for the video and class. Talk to Rev. Toni about getting your class kit; $52 covers everything including tax and postage. We will be ordering them very soon. Please share a ride and carpool for those who are not comfortable driving in the evening – This can be part of your tithing of your time!

Sunday School
Children are always welcome to stay in our service. Younger children may enjoy leaving adults right after service begins. Please have your children accompany you in the sanctuary to join in our joy singing. They are then invited to go upstairs as the service proceeds through the meditation and talk. The Sunday School teacher will lead them upstairs for activities, play and snacks. Near the close of the service around 11:30am, children will be led back to re-join the congregation and receive a blessing from the congregation.
Circle of Security Classes start Monday, September 23 from 6 -8 pm, and finishing before Thanksgiving. Child care will be offered with advance arrangement. Plan on two hours as reflection and discussion times are rich. This class will contain a mindfulness component at the beginning and at the close of each session.
Circle of Security is an eight week parenting program based on decades of research into building a strong relationship with your children. Circle of Security Parenting helps parents give their children a feeling of security and confidence so they can explore, learn, grow and build positive relationships – all essential skills for life-long success. It teaches parents how to respond to their child’s needs in a way that enhances the connections. Parent participants will be drawn from the larger Lincoln community. This is a great opportunity to meet people and make new friends. The program is conducted by Barbara L Dewey, LICSW.
Parents with a child under five years may qualify to be included in a research project at UNL and have the possibility of earning up to $230 for their participation.
The cost of the class is $200 per person or $300 for a couple. If Unity members would like to attend classes, cost will be half price, $100 or $150 couple.
FINDING YOURSELF IN TRANSITION:
Using Life’s Changes For Spiritual Awakening
Friends Book Club — 6 p.m. (Tuesdays beginning August 27).
“Finding Yourself in Transition” by Robert Brumet, guides you through life’s changes and gives you principles and practices to hold on to. Discover how to use change as a gateway to greater personal and spiritual growth. Join with others in self-exploration and self-revelation. Book available for purchase in the Unity Lincoln Bookstore.

Join our Harvest Fest Halloween Hoedown Friday, October 18th any time after 5pm. Bring things easy to grill and pot luck foods to share on a harvest table. Make it easy on yourself: salads, buns, chips, fruit. Don’t plan on using the kitchen, oven or electricity! Unless it rains, our gathering will be outside on the patio and lawn. About 6:30 or 7pm (sundown) Evan will lead a sing-a-long. All musicians are welcome to come jam! S’mores are doable! Grab a hay bale. Bring a blankie and a friend to snuggle with.
