Monthly Community Garden Work Day

Beyond the detailed work of our very dedicated Landscaping Team, our lovely spiritual home needs your special touch to make it really beautiful.  And what better way to do that than together as a community?  So, each 4th Saturday of the month we invite you to contribute your time and energy to cleaning and sprucing up the Unity Lincoln grounds.  Please bring any garden tools you will need.  For more information, please talk to Mickey.  There’s a corner that has your name on it!

Metaphysics
Aug 25 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Metaphysics

I like to think of Metaphysics as a process by which we arrive at philosophical answers that satisfy our need for understanding. Great teachers of the past can give us insight into truth but ultimately, it is what we think and how we feel that determines our reality. It is our consciousness that shapes our experience. This class will give us an opportunity to examine what we think, feel and believe. Then we can decide if it still works and perhaps change our mind if needed. Change your mind and you can change your life! Please join me Sunday mornings, at 9:00 am. ~ Rev. Evan Coleman, LUT

Sunday School

Children are always welcome to stay in our service.  Younger children may enjoy leaving adults right after service begins.  Please have your children accompany you in the sanctuary to join in our joy singing.  They are then invited to go upstairs as the service proceeds through the meditation and talk.  The Sunday School teacher will lead them upstairs for activities, play and snacks.  Near the close of the service around 11:30am, children will be led back to re-join the congregation and receive a blessing from the congregation.

Unity Lincoln hosts Mark Allen Gossman GONG Meditation

Join Unity Lincoln and Mark Allen Gossman, on August 26th from 6:30 to 8 pm for a Gong Meditation.  Gossman uses large gongs, bowls, and chanting to manifest sounds to heal and strengthen the body, mind and spirit.  “For many the gong is like a star gate which brings in a vortex of energy facilitating a connection with the infinite higher self – expanding the mind and opening the heart” per Gossman.

Mark Allen Gossman’s mission is to create connectivity in the world through sacred sound.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in science and math, and is a certified bio-feedback practitioner. Currently he leads drum circles, Jai Sprit Kirtan group, and offers sound immersion with the Gong Tribe.  To learn more you can find “Mark Allen Gossman” on Facebook.

The cost for the event is $25 and advanced ticket purchase is encouraged because of limited seating and lying down space.  You may bring your own pillows or blankets for your comfort.  To purchase tickets, please call the church office at 402-476-6887 and leave a message with your name and phone number.
