We are blessed to present Celia, a dynamic performer described as “A cross between an Earthy Enya, Joan Baez, and Tina Fey.” Celia dishes up the most delicious concoction of the silly and sacred in her concert. She has powerful, heart-felt vocals and wacky comedic improvisations.
“The audience never knows what will happen with Celia on stage.” Marianne Williamson says: “Celia’s music calls women to their glory and men to their hearts.”
You will get a concert preview during the Sunday service.
Invite your whole family, your friends and neighbors to this fabulous concert as we kick-off our God in Action fund raising for our building solution!
Suggested love offering is $10 adult, $5 child under 12.
Metaphysics
I like to think of Metaphysics as a process by which we arrive at philosophical answers that satisfy our need for understanding. Great teachers of the past can give us insight into truth but ultimately, it is what we think and how we feel that determines our reality. It is our consciousness that shapes our experience. This class will give us an opportunity to examine what we think, feel and believe. Then we can decide if it still works and perhaps change our mind if needed. Change your mind and you can change your life! Please join me Sunday mornings, at 9:00 am. ~ Rev. Evan Coleman, LUT
Sunday Service
Please join us each week for moving music,
a great Unity message, and a caring community!
NAMASTE!
Sunday School
Children are always welcome to stay in our service. Younger children may enjoy leaving adults right after service begins. Please have your children accompany you in the sanctuary to join in our joy singing. They are then invited to go upstairs as the service proceeds through the meditation and talk. The Sunday School teacher will lead them upstairs for activities, play and snacks. Near the close of the service around 11:30am, children will be led back to re-join the congregation and receive a blessing from the congregation.
Grief is a natural part of our life experience and it must be processed if we are to stay healthy. Many of us are grieving at Unity Lincoln. We have lost friends, spouses, dreams, and more.
Science has learned that the stress of grief is cumulative and the window of affect (the time it takes for the stressor to dissipate its energy through our bodies and minds) is no less than two years. It can take much longer and rob us of quality of life if not acknowledged and worked with. Even small losses can affect our health and sense of wellbeing. Large losses always do. So whether a loss is small or large, there is an effect on the body and mind. What that effect is depends on how we work with it and process it.
This is an opportunity to share our feelings and experiences in a loving circle of support. It is a covenanted circle so “what is said here, stays here.” In addition to listening and talking, we will do a healing exercise, visioning, and a burning.
